LJ deserves some kind of prize for well-balanced icon preservation. I have been left with 2xBSG, V for Vendetta (voila!), Orsino looking snooty, the ubiquitous study icon and my own vibrant visage.
(Rewatched V last night and CANNOT SUPPRESS VOCABULARY, AM BECOME VIOLENTLY VERBOSE IN SAID VARIATIONS ON THE VERNACULAR)
I had a moment of pure and wondrous (read: frightening) pedantry earlier this afternoon. I was procrastinating writing my Ecology of Health & Disease oral by hanging out in the physics students' room with Q, and espied upon the notice board a printout of the Hermann Grid, along with a couple of lines of text explaining what you should see and that no explanation for this is known.
I walked over. I took it down. I added, in red pen, Yes, it is. PTO for explanation.
And then I explained the visual science behind said illusion, complete with illustrative diagrams, on the back of the paper.
And then I pinned it back up.
(So there.)
