They're mostly shite (no, really) but Caleb wanted to see.

So...the first week into a new uni year would probably not be the best time to finally start fiddling with all those exciting settings in PSP, right?
I still don't have layers, filters or brushes. I shall cling to that.
But for a first effort I'm kinda pleased.
Now: to prise myself away from my picture folders before I become entirely addicted.

Despite the best efforts of Windows Movie Maker to hamper my progress by crashing without saving whenever the gleeful whim took it, my fanvid is done!
I have not vidded in about two? three? years. This is probably the second vid I have ever actually finished. I have no amazing editing skills and no flashy software. But I had fun. Still, any comments would be greatly appreciated, because knowing me I'll start another one soon.
This is an official disclaimer to state that I did not cut each and every clip out of the episodes; I do not OWN the episodes in any handily choppable format, so I used other people's videos as a source. I did not steal any editing, any transitions, nada. Just hacked them all to pieces and rebuilt from scratch. But apparently it's worth mentioning, even though I doubt I'll plug this in any communities or whatnot :)
Anyway!
Moving On, a BSG fanvid. Mostly pilots, but with some ensemble shots thrown in where appropriate.
( Lovely perfect lyrics, because sometimes they're hard to catch )

I like your song. I do. Its lyrics are perfect. But you know what would be nice? If they were distinguishable. My painstaking insertion of highly appropriate clips is rendered pointless if 'some friends become enemies/some friends become your family' is just a mush of drums and shouting.
You're not quite as bad as Nirvana, but REALLY.

Over the last week I have become disgustingly obsessed with the new Battlestar Galactica. Disgustingly. I've managed to get my brother and father addicted to it too. I'll rave some other time about how wonderful it is, but for now?
I've gone and iconned. A lot.

Having spent ridiculous amounts of time happily trawling through GettyImages, I present you with icons along the general theme of 'fashion', although occasionally I was distracted and ended up throwing in pretty fabrics or just generally random images.
My icon-making method is: crop. Add border. Can't resize without the pictures dying and even saving as a manageable file kills the quality a little *stabs PSP*. So there's nothing hugely complex or exquisitely layered and brushed and texted up, but I never claimed to be artistic :)
