still procrastinating. in case you couldn't tell.

LJ deserves some kind of prize for well-balanced icon preservation. I have been left with 2xBSG, V for Vendetta (voila!), Orsino looking snooty, the ubiquitous study icon and my own vibrant visage.

(Rewatched V last night and CANNOT SUPPRESS VOCABULARY, AM BECOME VIOLENTLY VERBOSE IN SAID VARIATIONS ON THE VERNACULAR)

I had a moment of pure and wondrous (read: frightening) pedantry earlier this afternoon. I was procrastinating writing my Ecology of Health & Disease oral by hanging out in the physics students' room with Q, and espied upon the notice board a printout of the Hermann Grid, along with a couple of lines of text explaining what you should see and that no explanation for this is known.

I walked over. I took it down. I added, in red pen, Yes, it is. PTO for explanation.

And then I explained the visual science behind said illusion, complete with illustrative diagrams, on the back of the paper.

And then I pinned it back up.

(So there.)

...Frar?

I love you.

That is far, FAR more amusing then my trying to correct the grammar of my parking fine.

Oh dear, correcting grammar. I actually did that for the personal farewell speech that Mrs Fry was reading out about each person at the final Deakin house meeting. She showed them to us in formtime and asked if we were okay with what she was saying.

It was a heartwarming and effusive-praise-filled little paragraph about my academic committment and my willingness to help others and I corrected her grammar because I didn't want something read out about me that was poorly worded.

Maybe I should seek professional help.

*snorts, pats*

Nah. Life is more entertaining this way.

I still insist that the grammar is wrong on the fine, though. Naturally, I'm not going to point this out as I'm trying to get out of paying the damn thing.

I think your brain would explode if you had a look at Yahoo! answers (it's basically a question and answer forum). That is my favourite time waster at the moment. The stupidity of some of the people at that site is unfathomable.

Suits me fine! I am in favour of Indian but Q doesn't like it much (spice, remember...) so maybe another time? She says Essen does very good dinners (pasta, nachos, exciting pancakey things).

Ahahahahhaha, the really hilarious thing is, I could do that too!
(and probably would have :D)
