18 Dec 2003 10:39 pmSaw Pan today. I was expecting it to be more like the book, so it was a bit too sentimental and sappy for a story that I remember as dark and disturbing. Peter IS an egotistical, selfish, manipulative little boy. He forgets or ignores anything that isn't important to him - and this came through in the beginning of the film, but slowly lessened as the messages about love and feelings came through. Bloody Wendy. But the actress did a good job, for a part whose only requirement is to be an innocent little girl and a flirt at the same time. Job desc: flutter eyelashes. Sidelong looks.
Yes, the boy who played Pan is damn hot for a 14-year-old and is going to have legions of pre-pubescent fangirls across the globe. Jason Isaacs made a very good and surprisingly attractive Hook. Now if only there was some medium between the two...
I gave in today, and let Kamui blabber for 691 words. Maybe he'll leave me alone for a while now.
>.< Man, I really want to rewatch Prince of Egypt. And Road To El Dorado. I'm having animated movie cravings here.
