Saw Pan today. I was expecting it to be more like the book, so it was a bit too sentimental and sappy for a story that I remember as dark and disturbing. Peter IS an egotistical, selfish, manipulative little boy. He forgets or ignores anything that isn't important to him - and this came through in the beginning of the film, but slowly lessened as the messages about love and feelings came through. Bloody Wendy. But the actress did a good job, for a part whose only requirement is to be an innocent little girl and a flirt at the same time. Job desc: flutter eyelashes. Sidelong looks.
Yes, the boy who played Pan is damn hot for a 14-year-old and is going to have legions of pre-pubescent fangirls across the globe. Jason Isaacs made a very good and surprisingly attractive Hook. Now if only there was some medium between the two...
I gave in today, and let Kamui blabber for 691 words. Maybe he'll leave me alone for a while now.
>.< Man, I really want to rewatch Prince of Egypt. And Road To El Dorado. I'm having animated movie cravings here.

No, I haven't! Have to add that to the list.

Oh, and it's worth seeing it if just for the line, "Whoa! Put a shirt on! You could poke someone's eye out with those!"

Alright, I'm hiring this movie.

The only difference I noticed was that the children had no idea what neverland was. There were some minor differences, like the fact that the rock was inside a castle, but other than that....
Also that their food wasn't imagined, but I think Hook invented that.

No, in the book they have make-believe feats OR real food, depending on Peter's mood... it's one of the really weird bits.

i pity that boy.
actually, i don't. what male teenage doesn't want legions of older women lusting after him?
i am debating whether or not to see that scantily clad Mr Pan currently. i guess it will depend on whether i can live through watching wendy for over an hour, or whether i will give in to the temptation of Colin Farrell's eyebrows of justice, which appear very determined to rid the world of crime.
