no winter ball T_T but pancakes :D
7 Sep 2003 07:09 pmWell, the spring concert for Saturday was superior in every aspect. Singing went well. Everything was fun. Annie played wonderfully, again. Found out that Elise Cole COULD have taken me to the Winter Ball after all *strangles someone random* BUT, instead I went to the pancake parlour with maddy and annie and phoebe and emma and mark and it was huge amounts of fun and involved the ordering of a Chocolate Strawberry Jubilee by Phoebe and I. DAMN. Yum.
So we stayed there until about 11:30 and then wandered outside and got accosted by drunk men TWICE. And felt very glad that we had done self defense last year.
Today I did some homework...not nearly as much as I should have, considering I have a maths test tomorrow. Bugger. And then I cleaned and earned a little money, and organised my clothes for overseas, and we went out to the Woden food court for Father's Day Lunch, which is probably a very pathetic thing but LOTS OF OTHER FAMILIES were doing it. Including Mr Gwynn-Jones, who was with his family at the table next to us ^_^;; And then my mum and I went shopping and I bought new sneakers that are not horrible and manky like my current ones. And then we walked home, a VERY good thing considering how much junk I've been eating lately.
Also had my first drive in an automatic car. My GOD. So EASY. Mum and I now want to swap Clio in for a small automatic but my dad is firmly against it, so I will have to learn manual driving at some stage. But at least I CAN DRIVE in an auto.
My mother has found an Etype CD at Impact Records. Has some new songs on it and the cover is all psychedelic and stuff. Also, mother now, and I quote, "cannot listen to classical music". She now plays Enigma, Moby and Etype loudly all day long. It's her midlife crisis, apparently, but DAMN is it an enjoyable one for the rest of us.
It's only just sinking in. Wow.
Oh Teegs, if you were planning to hold a sleepover the weekend before I leave can you tell me soon so that my mum doesn't organise something over the top of it?

Ichi. Doesn't that mean "One"? So I would be this Japanese equivalent of Neo, only with wisdom (ie. more than two brain cells). Cool. Speaking of which, my project for the plane trips to and from Europe is going to be teaching myself basic Japanese. Go me.
