no winter ball T_T but pancakes :D

Well, the spring concert for Saturday was superior in every aspect. Singing went well. Everything was fun. Annie played wonderfully, again. Found out that Elise Cole COULD have taken me to the Winter Ball after all *strangles someone random* BUT, instead I went to the pancake parlour with maddy and annie and phoebe and emma and mark and it was huge amounts of fun and involved the ordering of a Chocolate Strawberry Jubilee by Phoebe and I. DAMN. Yum.
So we stayed there until about 11:30 and then wandered outside and got accosted by drunk men TWICE. And felt very glad that we had done self defense last year.

Today I did some homework...not nearly as much as I should have, considering I have a maths test tomorrow. Bugger. And then I cleaned and earned a little money, and organised my clothes for overseas, and we went out to the Woden food court for Father's Day Lunch, which is probably a very pathetic thing but LOTS OF OTHER FAMILIES were doing it. Including Mr Gwynn-Jones, who was with his family at the table next to us ^_^;; And then my mum and I went shopping and I bought new sneakers that are not horrible and manky like my current ones. And then we walked home, a VERY good thing considering how much junk I've been eating lately.

Also had my first drive in an automatic car. My GOD. So EASY. Mum and I now want to swap Clio in for a small automatic but my dad is firmly against it, so I will have to learn manual driving at some stage. But at least I CAN DRIVE in an auto.

My mother has found an Etype CD at Impact Records. Has some new songs on it and the cover is all psychedelic and stuff. Also, mother now, and I quote, "cannot listen to classical music". She now plays Enigma, Moby and Etype loudly all day long. It's her midlife crisis, apparently, but DAMN is it an enjoyable one for the rest of us.

I'm leaving for Europe in two weeks

It's only just sinking in. Wow.

Oh Teegs, if you were planning to hold a sleepover the weekend before I leave can you tell me soon so that my mum doesn't organise something over the top of it?

What would your Japanese name be? (female)
brought to you by Quizilla

Ichi. Doesn't that mean "One"? So I would be this Japanese equivalent of Neo, only with wisdom (ie. more than two brain cells). Cool. Speaking of which, my project for the plane trips to and from Europe is going to be teaching myself basic Japanese. Go me.

um, does one of my ancestors count? because most of the famour graves will be in cathedrals. and I'll probably get kicked out. alternatively, I could do a heathen dance around stonehenge.

um. first group lurched up to us and one said "do you ladies wanna come to shooters with me and the boys?" and we replied with a firm "no, we're good" and thankfully they were still sober enough to leave us alone after that. second guy came up to me and annie (obviosuly VERY stoned) and asked us where the nearest taxi rank was, and after we told him we didn't know just STOOD there next to us. so we sort of ran and hid back inside the entrance to the pancake parlour.

shooters? what is shooters? is it like hooters, except.. opposite?
arrghh. another horrible self inflicted mental image ><;

yeah, one of your ancestors is FINE - they were probably feudal lords or something, who would be suitably enraged.

i think shooters may be a bar, actually >.<

[identity profile] ryokophoenix.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
*is sad* It would actually be rather difficult to dance around stonehenge - you have to follow a path that makes sure you're at least 20 metres away at all times. On the plus side, you get a nifty little radio wand thing.

I hate drunk men.

i ACCIDENTALLY danced on a famous person's grave when we were in sydney!

actually it was a bishop, who was probably relatively anonymous and i casually strolled upon his grave then quickly side-stepped when i realised what i was on. ^_^

[identity profile] fahye.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
that does not count as dancing. not even for you.
...I'm sure he was pretty pissed off though. should have kept an eye out for thunderbolts from the heavens.

[identity profile] izumihydra.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
well... i don't know, the side-stepping kind of looked like a jig. and heeeeyy, i get extra dancing points for last night. i am no longer the non-dancer. :P

and i don't think bishops get thunderbolt rights. that's only corrupt popes. in other words, steer well clear of Eugenius. in other news, taking notes on BUFFY is the weirdest thing i've ever done. and i'm REALLY scared i'll be way over time.

[identity profile] fahye.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
surely the corrupt popes go to hell and are not granted access to heavenly thunderbolts at all?

on the theme of buffy, I don't suppose you want to lend me season 7? and IS this sleepover the weekend before I leave happening or not?

[identity profile] izumihydra.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
heaven doesn't exist. here ends our popish debate. thoguh it annoys me that i spend a great majority of my time studying christian history (reformation) and i'm not even christian. i know more about catholicism than most catholics.

can't lend you season 7 right now, i'm using it for my oral, it's not ordered properly and mel's got it booked next. but one day, yes.

sleepover will hopefully happen, and i'm planning on it. but i can't get my parents to commit to ahything this early... i will start asking though.

[identity profile] aristarque.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
SEASON SEVEN?
but - but - BUT -
my warren fetish goes UNFULFILLED FOR SO LONG -

aughh, i will stop being awful now. i have too much assessment anyway, and frar deserves them more. as long as i can respectfully lodge my request for the holidays? *looks andrew puppy hopeful*

didn't know mero liked buffy :P

does this mean 'seph needs to make a post soon?

[identity profile] sanguia.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
couuuurse he does! even though the nerds are tres gauche really, he is fond of them - warren especially, because the creation of the april-bot was highly inspirational.
...i am officially a meta posting plebe ^^;;

and YES! if 'seph would post, it would be great *big grin*

[identity profile] fahye.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
we'll see. 'seph's owner has just remembered her maths test tomorrow.

didn't think of the april-bot. glad mero has good taste in SOME things. though he probably thinks spike's jacket is awful and leather and girly, right?

[identity profile] aristarque.livejournal.com 2003-09-07 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
To Miss Freya;

That man named Spike, while almost as rakishly attractive as myself, disgusts me above all other things. Not only is he under the MISTAKEN - and I cannot stress this enough - impression that wearing leather causes him to appear 'cool' as opposed to wrapped in black shiny cow skin, he also bleaches his hair quite hideously. Sometimes you can even see the ROOTS. It is quite painful. Anya does it much more nicely.

I, ah, understand that you were in contact with my horrible wife recently?

This is between us, but...
How is she?
I mean of course, how spectacularly crashing burningly has that detraisse little debancle of hers failed so far?
