All right, just for purposes of clarification, for those getting worried over in Caleb's post:
We were in a car accident. WE ARE ALL ALIVE AND UNHARMED. We were on the 5 heading into LA, and we were stopped, and a red truck slammed into the back of the car doing about 60 mph. The back of the car is a mess. An utter, utter mess. The trunk cannot be opened. EVEN IF YOU WERE BLIND, YOU COULD TELL THAT THIS IS DAMAGED BY THE WAY THAT IT FEELS. Unfortunately, the driver of said truck did not want to get out and stare at the damage with us (in case some magic happened) but instead decided to reverse and then take the nearest exit. We couldn't get his number plate because one can't really open the door and step out when one is right next to the 5.
That's it. We're all fine! Really!
I have to give you an amusing anecdote from when we were at Universal Studios. We were sitting eating lunch and two of the people who wander around in costume for photo ops dashed through - the Green Goblin was chasing Spiderman.
Spiderman: I just can't get rid of you!
Green Goblin: *something unimportant and vaguely threatening which we can't remember*
Spiderman: I wish I knew how to quit you.
Us: WTF
And then they were gone. It was a great moment.
LA is interesting but I wouldn't want to live there, ever. We spent a lot of money. I have bought too many books. We've been watching lots of Grey's, a bit of House, and Caleb & I introduced Ji to Coupling.
Today we're going to San Jose for a Tahitian festival. Thing. I don't know. It should be fun.
