Updating from: Sunny (kind of) and warm (HURRAH) California! schiarire's house is lovely and her family is also lovely and I am sitting around on a very comfortable couch with Ji & Caleb watching S2 of Grey's. Life is good. I did not die. The plane trip was as pleasant as 12-hour plane trips ever are, but the queue for Customs and Immigration was very short and I was through in no time :)

After a charming scenic drive around the Bay area courtesy of Caleb's MISSING SENSE OF DIRECTION, we went to Country Waffles and I had something enormous with caramel apple and creamy...stuff...on it. SO GOOD. SO HUGE.
