o_O Good lord. So that's why one doesn't go Christmas shopping on a Saturday.

However:

- Life as a Fake by Peter Carey, for mother
- the John Butler Trio album Living, for father
- Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, for sister
- half of [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix's birthday present
- A Very Long Engagement DVD, for me IT WAS CHEAP IT WAS CHEAP *justifies*

Only my brother to buy for now, which is a good thing. My debit card is weeping. I didn't mean to buy so much, I only went to Woden to buy some delicious foody things for dinner - I'm making garlic calamari with tomatoes and pepper, and a flourless chocolate cake.

Other news, other news...oh yes! SCUNA sang carols at the Canberra Hospital today, which was great fun - we sang in the foyer for a while and then trooped around serenading the Acute Elderly Care and Paediatrics wards. Heartwarming in that sense that I am never quite sure how to talk to elderly people, and children put my teeth on edge, but just singing and smiling is a wonderful and effortless way to connect with someone.
