fahye: (I am a writing god)
Holy shit, it's done.

9910 words strikes me as ridiculously high for a first draft of what was meant to be a short story, but...it's as long as it wanted to be, really.

Item: At the Red Gates - one dark fairytale, set in this world and in one girl's Hell.

Will polish it up tomorrow and send it out to the betas for nitpicking.

Whoa.

You know, I've never finished any original work that long before, not straight out of my own mind and certainly not in that short a period of time.

I feel like I've just run a very bizarre kind of marathon.

*waves egotistical icon at you all and collapses into bed*
fahye: (crowley - too late)
OMFG

*hyperventilates*

Yeah, I'll squeal properly under a cut, but I would like to note for the world to see that Neil Gaiman, the master himself:

a) told me, ME ME ME, where he got the idea for 'Murder Mysteries' from and how he wrote it

b) blithely, in front of a lecture theatre full of fans, used the words 'messy sex scenes' in direct relation to Aziraphale and Crowley

Fuck. Fuck. GLEE. )
