It's only been so for...oh, an hour and a quarter, but that counts.

Spent an exhuasting but satisfying Christmas Eve singing glorious carols and excerpts from Handel's Messiah. I spent the sermon planning a Hob/Lucifer fic and contemplating the delicious prettiness of Lucifer/Camille (*is pretty dark-boy goo*). Me = going to hell. And now I have a sore stomach from singing.

Don't believe me? You try getting through the soprano line of the Hallelujah Chorus without using your abs to support the high notes. Ugh.

I expect that there will be a proper post at a decent hour of the day when I can unveil those few Xmas fics that I have completed and babble about presents.

Ciao.

Presents list! By request from [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, which is nice because I can bask in my own glow of possession and blame it all on her. Ahem.

With an unhealthy emphasis on tea and words )

Also: those three Christmas fics that I have completed (apart from Art's). I really am sorry, everyone; I spent far too long on the few that I did, because I'm a perfectionist. And then I forgot how many other committments I had, and then I was just lazy. They will be completed - I'm going down the coast for a few days, taking laptop, no Internet. Writing will occur.

My mother: "I'm sure most people spent Christmas Day going for walks with cousins, or helping wash up, or playing games with their siblings, not sitting in front of the computer."

She doesn't know my kind of people, obviously *g*

The forecasted Christmas Rain lasted for all of fifteen minutes, and now it's back to being a classic Christmas - warm, slightly humid, with the sound of the air conditioning and people splashing in the pool and a bit of wind in the trees. It strikes me that this must seem incredibly alien to anyone not living down here - hell, we exchange Christmas cards with snowflakes and fireplaces and robins, and then we spend our day in the heat and the sun and it all seems very normal. This is Christmas. Summer dresses and a siesta after lunch and lazy afternoon heat to read new books in.

Welcome to my world?

Third update on Christmas Day - I bet y'all are getting real sick of me by now.

Fear not! I shall be gone for three days. This is compensation. See, it makes sense.

The everwondrous [livejournal.com profile] not_in_denial has gifted me with icon space. Go. Gaze upon the pretty. Mock my huge fondness for Movies in Fifteen Minutes icons.

Lastly: [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, Thom is quite cooperative once you promise him porn. Behold! One more Xmas fic, and you might even read it during the correct timeframe.

For you, Ji dear - Aware
