let's be pedantic, aka TTT rant
14 Jan 2003 09:19 pmWell I saw TTT for the third time today with Maddy and Annie, after a Star Wars marathon sleepover at Maddy's *props eyes open with matches*
Now I'm going to be pedantic and fun-spoiling and point out all the bloopers that i saw, but they're amusing little ones so it's okay.
1. When Shadowfax is galloping towards Gandalf you can see tyre tracks in the background. I reckon the truck drivers have a conspiracy going - first the FOTR blooper and now this! Who's with me? DOWN WITH THE EVIL TRUCKDRIVERS!!!
2. Orli's eyes change colour. In most shots they're coloured to be blue but in the bit where he's bitching to Aragorn in elvish about how they're ALL GONNA DIE they forgot and they're a lovely dark brown instead.
3. Similar mistake in scene between Eowyn and Wormtongue, her hair starts off in twists back and somehow magically becomes loose.
4. There is a shot after the wall of Helm's Deep has been blown up where you see the wall and it is somehow intact again. But it's only a very short shot.
There now that that's out the way I'll tell you the two cool things I noticed:
1. When the retreat has been sounded at Helm's Deep and they're all rushing to get inside Legolas is shooting as he runs, being the sexy devoted archer that he is, and even though there is heaps of stuff going on you can still hera really clearly the cool zipping sound as he lets go of the arrows. And yes Teegs, I agree with your initial impression. HE IS HOT NONSTOP.
2. Ok this is random but in the scene where they're handing out weapons to all the fighters before tha battle at HD you can hear, quite clearly and out of the blue, someone say "This one's broken" In this REALLY broad Aussie accent. Okay well i thought it was cool. Go the Aussies!
I'm leaving tomorrow for 10 days, back the friday before Australia Day. Please dont email me before then so my inbox isn't killed. Thanks. But please SMS or ring me on my mobile.
Probably have a lot more to talk about but can't be stuffed. Liz will give you $10 for FY ASAP which won't be for a while!!!
Oh yes everyone come to Commonwealth Park on Australia Day and buy drinks off me, I'm working from 7am-10pm.
