mmmm full of pork
31 Oct 2012 09:29 pmGuys guys A SOUTHERN AMERICAN RESTAURANT OPENED IN CANBERRA.
(by which I mean 'food from the southern US', not cuisine from any particular country in the continent of South America)
I went there tonight and had a pulled pork sandwich made with coleslaw and BBQ sauce, with fries and potato salad, and then took home a slice of pumpkin pie. I need to go back and try the TWO TYPES OF RIBS and the BRISKET and the SLOPPY JOES and the BUFFALO WINGS and the salads, too, they look phenomenal. Hurrah! I won't have to learn to make all that stuff I tried in the US and really liked!
During my day off today I also made an orange and blueberry cake and got my hair re-dyed in a much brighter shade of coppery-red and then my hairdresser showed me how to use my ghd styler to put curls in (photo, for those not on twitter -- yes, I have Black Widow hair).
And now for some peppermint tea and some Ray Bradbury, I think.
