I'd forgotten how time-consuming cross-stitch can be. I sat down on the couch this morning to work on a gift and then somehow it was early evening and I'd watched something like ten episodes of The West Wing and my fingers were cramping. AND IT'S NOT FINISHED YET.
I have to work a 14 hour shift tomorrow (hurrah for Sunday pay, boo for one-day weekends) so this day of stitching swept away the other stuff I was planning to do, like finish Princess Tutu and glare fixedly at the two (count 'em!) scenes left to write of my Natasha fic.
Now it's almost 10pm. I think I'll get some peppermint tea and do some nice soothing editing of the 27,366 extant words of said fic. Or maybe watch ELEMENTARY which I am loving the hell out of, Joan Watson please marry me immediately.
