- I have become a proper little London commuter, by which I mean that reaching my current placement (an adolescent mental health facility) requires two trains and a bus and costs me an absurd amount of money every day even with an Oyster card. But it's been great so far; all the staff are really friendly, and my supervisor is trying to make sure I get as much as possible out of the two weeks.

- Meeting lo0o0ony_lauren tomorrow! And pogrebin next week! I will never get over how great it is to actually meet LJ people in real life. All it took was a $1700 plane trip.

- I am posting a lot, huh. I miss my icons :(

- I had great plans to write a lot, but that has been hindered by a combination of British TV (Top Gear is on, like, ALL THE TIME! Mock The Week is a thing! I have Dara O'Briain ON TAP!) and the pile of books I am happily munching my way through. I just finished Kraken and while I am still too violence-squeamish to be an ideal China Miéville reader, there were aspects of it that I enjoyed a HELL of a lot.

- There could be like seventeen more items on this list that were just LONDON LONDON HURRAH LONDON. It's cold, it's wet, it's gloomy as all getout and it gets dark at a truly ludicrous hour of the afternoon, but it's London, it has history and people and buildings and stories. And Prêt À Manger <3
