I spent fifteen minutes this morning sitting in the sun eating brunch, and both of my arms are now lurid pink and radiating gentle warmth. WHY DO I LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY.
It really is a gorgeous day, though. Perfect for...sitting in the empty library reading about chronic renal failure and listening to Aussie rock. Sigh. (I love this soooooooong.)

Yesterday was fab: writers' festival at College. I had a lovely conversation with Kate Forsyth and sat calmly next to Brian Caswell without squeaking rabidly at him about how much I adored his books in primary school omg. And then Chris Taylor of the Chaser showed up to give a talk and mingle over cocktails, so I had a chat with him too. A++ would sacrifice a precious Saturday and attend again. I'm helping to organise next year's, hopefully!
