fahye: ([bones] someone to slap your enemies)
This will be a very short post because my grandparents' computer's settings are such that I can feel my retinal cells dying and my lens crumbling as I try to maintain adequate focus, but HERE I AM, because it's still the least painful place to be. (The Boxing Day cricket match is on telly in the lounge, and the smaller & more active members of the family are playing their own version on the oval out the back. I am hiding in the computer room with a glass of fizz eschewing all cricket-related activities and wishing I could actually READ Yuletide fics instead of squinting suicidally at comments and recs.)

Christmas was perfectly fine -- I've reached the conclusion that the loud and uneducated but friendly half of the family is better than the quiet and repressed side when it comes to Christmases, because all one has to do is get very drunk very quickly and then everything is fine. I also swallowed a small lake's worth of water, so my head isn't complaining today.

My present from my parents was one morning's worth of Boxing Day sales shopping, leading to the purchase of three new shirts for clinical days next year. So awesome. One is black and shiny, one has white and mint green stripes, and one is from Cue and it's purple and WONDERFUL and way, way out of my normal price range. God bless the sales.

Aaaand now: family photos. Oh joy. I am summoned.
