irrelevant holidays & ninja dreams

Well, I was planning a minor Antipodean sulk about how I wish WE had a public holiday revolving around eating a whole lot of alien-sounding food, but even with my slight hangover, I am in a better mood than that.

So...have a good Thanksgiving, everyone who celebrates it. At the moment I am thankful that the federal election will be over after tomorrow, because after all these weeks of increasingly cynical offers and increasingly absurd character smears (and, last night, a terrifyingly bizarre dream in which I went to vote and ended up embroiled in some kind of conspiracy involving overseas corruption and purple-clad ninjas being thrown off buildings, like an episode of some show combining Spooks, Naruto & Kill Bill) -- well, it'll be nice to have the politicians off the radar for a little while.

And I'm thankful for you lot, of course :)
