If I am frustratingly remiss in replying to emails, if I owe you a fic or a thread, if I haven't played much in an RP that I committed to, if I forget (or have forgotten) your birthday, if I don't comment on anything that I should comment on, if I am never around on chat programs, if my updates are flighty and mostly comprised of complaining about how much work I have to do...

It's been a bad day. And it's going to be a bumpy semester :)

It is perhaps slightly worrying that I, finding myself in possession of some spare cash and deciding to treat myself to a book, wander happily into the Co-op and wander out again half an hour later with a book of intermediate-advanced French grammar exercises. This is the second time this has happened! Symptomatic? I don't know. In my breaks I think: I should be reading, I should be keeping up with my French, I should be writing, I should be. Sometimes I just can't turn my brain off - and sometimes (when I need them most, of course) the cogs just freeze and refuse to turn at all.
