something like real life

It's true, I really don't talk about my life on this LJ much anymore. This is partly because, well, fandom is an LJ thing that I can only really allow to take over my head during holidays, but partly because I'm not really doing many interesting things. Let's see.

- My final shift as a DJs retail monkey was today. FINAL SHIFT. Farewell and adieu to that particular income source. I won't miss the work.

- I'm in the midst of applying for a job ushering with Cirque de Soleil when they come to Canberra this March-April. So far I've done an online application, a phone interview, a more detailed online skill-assessment, and on Thursday I have a four hour group interview. (Wtf, it's USHERING, how hard can it really be? All the staff get hired through a recruitment company, though, and I suppose jumping through these kinds of hoops is good practice for, oh, the real world.)

- I just got back from azraeljt's wedding! She got married at the carillon on Aspen Island, and she looked gorgeous, and the bridesmaid outfits were kickass. Black and white striped dresses with white fans and parasols.

- In March I will be sitting the GAMSAT (Graduate Australian Medical Schools Admission Test) and then starting the laborious process of applying to med school. Joy.
