Tonight I am going to go to the shops and get calamari & chips, gourmet ice cream, and a bottle of white wine. And feast. And watch the new episode of Crotchwoot Torchwood. (Dammit.) And then get tipsy and work on my wildly ambitious Doctor Who/Torchwood crossover, which I would like to get written before somebody else plays with the Gwyneth/Gwen parallels and does it better than me.

I think this is the only icon that has a big enough sentiment for what I am feeling right now.

Torchwood 1x05 - Small Worlds (no spoilers)

Oh my god.

That was fantastic (though not enough Owen and Tosh! boo hiss), but um. We're not...we're not in the nice shiny Whovian Kansas any more, are we?

It DID have to be rose petals, didn't it?

What made that episode really, really creepy is the fact that Jasmine looks like my sister. Exactly like my sister. My sister has hair that length and that colour, she wears it in those two plaits. She's small for her age, and skinny. She has that mole on her cheek, in that exact spot. She looks like that.

SWEENEY. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE NINE THING BECAUSE IT'S GETTING KIND OF TWO-BY-FOURISH. SACRIFICE, GOOD OF THE WHOLE, ETC. AND. AND. JACK!!!!

Ooh. Also. Fanvid rec - vid by blue_crystal03 - a little heavy on the fades for my liking, but the choice of music & clips and the juxtaposition of footage from DW and TW is very well done. ENORMOUSLY SPOILERY for, um, anything involving Jack ever, but definitely worth watching.
