fahye: (domestic liek wo)
It's ridiculous how excited I get at finding Discworld books in secondhand bookshops. Wandering around Civic today I discovered five in the one place - five, which has to be some kind of record - including Maskerade and Carpe Jugulum, both of which I lacked. I snapped up Maskerade but didn't let myself buy anything else, having already given in and bought The Drawing of the Three earlier in the afternoon. Also caramel tea. Also socks. It's alarming how fast the money just flies out of my wallet. The lady at the bookshop said "If you want any more, you'd better be quick! Terry Pratchett always goes very fast!"

Me: YES I KNOW GET THEE BEHIND ME WAH *flees, clutching book*

I spent a very enjoyable hour in Starbucks drinking a chai latte with hazelnut syrup (recommendation courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] darthrami) and reading Ionesco's 'Rhinoceros', which arrived in the mail from [livejournal.com profile] schiarire yesterday. I love my Americans, yes I do :) Lessthanthree. Etcetera.

Having three weeks of holidays ahead and the house to myself for much of that, I am doing insane things like finally, FINALLY attempting to put together a cohesive summary of the War For Billy plot, which spanned a month or so of Milliways insanity and made me three very good friends. Newcomers to the bar have been asking about it, and I volunteered like a mad thing. Ha. Sooooo...Nny, Rami, Art? I have some threads in memories, but only those where Lucifer was involved and not even all of those. I *will* go trawling through the bar's archives, but if you could give me any links or mini-summaries you have hiding anywhere that would be most helpful. Any conversations between any of the four involved, pretty much, and perhaps an indication of where in the plotline any OOM posts fell.

I have also been going through the back entires of this journal in an attempt to put together a decent set of Memories, and have unearthed some lovely gems so far. Some are hilarious, some are just milestones in my online development - which has had an alarmingly large effect on my development overall, I think. This is a personal record as well as a small snippet of my past for you to mock at will. The multiple punctuation! It burns!

WTF is slash, someone? )
