Graduation
30 Nov 2004 11:07 pmSo, today I officially graduated from Canberra Girls' Grammar School. The assembly this morning was hot and long and generally disorganised, so as little shall be said about it as possible. The best part involved our entire grade singing 'Break my Stride' and dancing on chairs in front of the whole school.
Tonight, though - graduation dinner in the Great Hall at Parliament House, which is swanky like whoa. Everyone was gorgeous. Dinner was lovely. Apparently other people needed help identifying the contents of their antipasto plates :P Prize list was long but...gratifying!
I want to brag. I don't know. I feel bad. Okay. I shan't.
I have $170 worth of book vouchers, though, which is just awesome.
Yes, yes, all right. Pictures! (though linked) It's almost midnight here so I was too lazy to resize and upload all of them - I picked the three where I look decent, because I'm self-centred like that.
My grad outfit - corset obtained last year from markets in Sydney, shoes from Year 10 formal, skirt borrowed from
izumihydra and Sri Lankan necklace from my late grandmother. Total money spent = $0
Most of us looking lovely. Something odd is going on with Cait's hair. And if my smile is somewhat rictus-like, it's because we stood there for literally five minutes, smiling.
Phoebe, me, Emily. I like this one. And Emily is massively sunburnt but luckily under the lights it looks like a nice tan. Woe upon my English Rose-ness.

I don't think I'm going to have any time to write anything for about...oh, two weeks? How the hell does this happen?
