I am completely in love with The Duchess of Malfi. The character that I first thought to be a plain, unintelligant villain - Bosola - snuck up on me with his wit and his sarcasm and his weird integrity and reminds me bizarrely of the way I play Lucifer. Antonio and Delio have bestfriend!love and Ferdinand is excitingly evil and insane. And there's an absolutely amazing scene between Bosola and the Duchess, my heartbeat sped up as I read it and it would be so much fun to act. And again there were scary Lucifer/Hob overtones that made it very interesting indeed.

In other news, I am hopelessly material and have been daydreaming about the things I shall procure when I have money, and mentally planning my birthday wishlist. So far, we have:

1) The Penguin Book of Quotations, arranged by subject, because I am a quote h0r
2) A cocktail making kit and book
3) A simple tarot deck
4) Comics. Lots of. Lucifer and Sandman and Hellblazer and Watchmen.
5) Yes, I am a mercenary little girl.
