fear mah sewing skillz

So today I attempted to sew the lining of my coat all on my lonesome, and actually succeeded. Except for the sleeves. Evil sleeves. And the fact that I sewed one seam the wrong way and had to unpick it (and we're talking a full seam on an ankle length coat, here) and then REsew it. And my adventures with shoulder seams which involved pinning one tiny seam 5 different ways before I discovered it was in fact on the WRONG shoulder. And my frequent unpicking and repinning and resewing (repeat until bored to death) of parts that weren't quite right. Bloody perfectionism.

Also managed to commit the unspeakable sin of forgetting the existance of my sister, only to be interrupted mid-Evangelion-recap-episode by the front office lady ringing to ask me wasn't I meant to be picking up my sister? Arg >.< Guiltguiltguilt.

However, I managed to catch my father in a good mood and asked casually about food for money in Sydney. And he said of course they would pay for my food. And then went to on to add something about giving me spending money (!!) Obviously the trick is to get HIM to agree to it and thus make it impossible for my mother to veto when she gets back from Brisbane.

By the way, for those that were interested; my brother has placed fifth in his division at the Australian Figure Skating Championships *small glow of sisterly pride* And it's his first Nationals, so that's really quite good.

Could edit the last entry but in a fit of sadism have decided to make a new one and spam people's friends pages. Mwa. Ha. Ha. Nah, it doesn't work. I'm too tired to be evil.

Read the first volume of the Gravitation manga, and prefer the anime by a huge amount. Can't believe what they did to my beloved Hiro *cries*. And Shuichi is ugly but has slightly more backbone and Yuki is... different. Not the heartless bastard that we know and love. Anna was right - I shall just think of it as a superior breed of doujinshi and thus be quite happy.

...hard to believe I'm turning 17 in ten days. I hate it when birthdays bury themselves under more exciting events and then spring out and surprise you.

* Liz's CD and black pants
* Eujar's bus pass ^_^
* Someone's black hair tie
* Ali's blazer
