Note for future: staying up til ridiculous hours reading fanfiction is not a good way to ensure mental health. I read an incredibly long Weiss BDSM fic last night - I'm talking VERY long - and ended up dreaming about a bondage heirarchy that was arranged in layers that looked like the layers of my Hyperion. It was weird as hell. Thought I'd forgotten the whole thing until I was listening to "Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This", and then the whole idea just raced up to me and jumped down my throat and is now producing plotbunnies composed mainly of black leather, whips and FF8 bishies. Bugger.
Anyway, I finished taping up the Hyperion today, and all it needs is paint. Anna? Could you come over Sunday? I need the chromey stuff and to teach you the skit dance. Once I've choreographed it. Eheh. Also - when are we all having our next general meeting to practice the group dance? I might try doing it in my boots and skirt this time.
Coat is...hell. Have no sewing skills whatsoever. Cut piece. Discover have cut a centimetre too thin and missing a notch. Redo entire piece. Finally have all pieces cut out. Decide to ignore interfacing. Read instructions. Read instructions again. Slowly plough through instructions line by line with mother, translating into understandable speech by using the pictures. Eventually have two pieces sewn together. Discover what 'basting' is. Do it. Sew more. Have to unbaste. Get halfway up seam before discovering is WRONG seam. Rebaste. Start unpicking the right seam. Have reached intruction 3 out of about 30. Give up for day.
At least there's no more bloody CUTTING to do.
Drove into Civic today in heavy traffic O.O Kind of scary. Went Christmas shopping with mother, and am getting the first two books of the Tamir Triad and the second X DVD *heart* Now, with complete and open lack of subtlety: would really like the FIRST X DVD for my birthday. Ditto Night Watch in paperback. No, don't all run out and buy them. Communicate. Good girls.
The final Mars and Volume 4 of Tokyo Mew Mew are out, by the way. *prods people to buy so she can read them* Demon Diary is still nowhere to be seen *sulks*
I have nowhere as much dedication and free time as
tammaiya, but I WILL be writing a Christmas fic. Just one, though probably in two parts. It'll have to do you all, because if I tried to write one for everyone my brain would explode. I'll give you a pointless hint: it'll be Yami (I'm predictable), and a pairing and POV that I haven't written before. Yeah, really narrows it down, huh ^_^
Off to write sap that involves Cap'n Jack Sparrow, a thing which a large part of my mind keeps insisting is messing with the order of the universe. So far, stubborn determination and a promise to
tammaiya have won out. Maybe if I write it very very quickly the universe won't have time to notice...
