Yes, the rain has finally had an effect and we had no power for half an hour or so. I tried to plan Shields on paper then gave up and went and made corn fritters for afternoon tea. I'm not a TOTAL loss as a chef - I can live on corn, flour, eggs and sweet chilli sauce quite happily.

When the power came back we watched Chicken Run. I love the Watari-chicken. The one with glasses and a Scottish accent. Mac or something.

So I take it no-one wishes to come skating and relieve me of my boredom? *guilt trip guilt trip*

Off to have bath and read Janet Evanovich, then plunge on with Shields. Have been writing prettiness this arvo. Siobhan? Eujar? Anyone? Have I finally gone too far and become a sapmonster?

Surely it isn't possible to have written 20000 words and yet have just worked out that THERE IS NO PLOT.

Kind of like THERE IS NO SPOON, only with less metaphysics and more pointlessness.
