Fahye: *trying very hard not to think about that Hamlet/Laertes fic*

Ms Vance: *writes the names of basically all the male characters in Hamlet on the board* Now, I want you to suspend disbelief just for a while and -
Cait or Rhi (I'm sorry! I couldn't see which it was, they were sitting behind me): *loud whisper* SLASHTACULAR!
All the fangirls in the room: *snort and start laughing*
Ms Vance: ...okay, I don't think I want to know. ANYWAY, I want you to suspend disbelief for a while. Let's say your fairy ...um...godfather...appears in a cloud of...pink
Michelle: And glitter
Ms Vance: Yes, and glitter
Michelle: And bubbles
Ms Vance: ...and bubbles...
Fahye: And a sparkly wand
Elise: What is this fairy godfather ON?
Ms Vance: ANYWAY, he says that you have to marry one of these men. I want you to say who and why. (the choices were Hamlet, Horatio, Laertes, Fortinbras and Claudius. apparently this little exercise was to help us think about the characters)

*much hilarity later*

Elise: Well, I WAS going to choose Horatio but I rather think he's BATTING FOR THE OTHER SIDE...

Victoria: Well, Horatio would obviously never love me as much as he loves Hamlet...

And this, because it amused me:

Mari: I think I'd choose Horatio, because he's easy to dominate.
Rest of class: O.o *collective brain retune*

Hmm. Ms Vance scares even me sometimes. But Hamlet is so obviously full of implied slash that not even Emma Stacey missed what we were talking about. She seemed quite amused, actually.

Also finished reading MKR today. No spoilers. No. Dammit. Aliiiiiii... *needs to rant joyfully about PERFECT LOVE TRIANGLES and GORGEOUS ASCOT*
