mother
has
agreed
to
let
me
get
a
JOB!!!
After Gang Show is over I will be putting my resume in at the local IGA, and hopefully getting a job there. So, for the second semester, this is what my weekly timetable will look like:
Monday: Skating 4-5:30
Tuesday: Either work 4-8 or helping at scouts 7-8:30
Wednesday: Dance 7:45-8:45
Thursday: Venturers 7:30-9:30
Friday: Maybe work 4-8 (if I can't get a tuesday shift)
Saturday: Clean house for mother
Sunday: Work either 8-2 or 2-8 and have a professional driving lesson in the other half of the day
[EDIT: Let's add to that choir on Monday lunchtimes and Thursday mornings, and physics tutorials one lunchtime a week...]
*dies* Goddess. There goes my social life. And my grades... wheeeee...
This miraculous turn of events occured after another serious conversation with my mother when I told her what Mary said about the IGA being quite flexible, gave her the shift times etc. AND, even more unreal, the problem of going away on weekends was solved:
Mum: Well, now that you're 16, I guess we can leave you on your own when we go away.
Me: *faints* REALLY? I mean, yes! I can take care of myself! I'll go shopping the day before and buy everything I need for food and stuff...
Mum: What, instant pasta and frozen pizza?
Me: *squirms* Yes. Well. *desperately* How about I learn to cook?
So I will also be taught to cook a range of basic meals by helping Mum make dinner every night. I am also to make my own lunch every day from now on. DAMN I feel responsible and mature...
Teegs 'n' Ali - the CD of pictures is in my bag at this very moment! Anna - I have downloaded the song ^_~ for the clip, and although Chobits is also refusing to play properly on my computer, Ceres is still working fine. We are set.
I'm in an amazingly good mood now, though quite tired from street funk - fast dance. Repeated again and again to faster and faster music. Fun. But soooo tiring. Think I'll go cement this day of wonder by actually getting some work done.
