*tired cheer*
15 May 2003 07:38 pmwell. after two bloody hours on internet doing research i have finally found the answer to the damn chemistry question, and it wasn't ANYTHING that we could have been expected to know. stupid mr kent. i have been working flat out since i got home and have only just done that prac (still have to print and draw diagram) and one lot of maths homework. still have to do ANOTHER lot of maths and type up ANOTHER prac report, and i'm too tired to even bother with punctuation. i hate assessment.
oh yeah, this was on the msn website and i found it rather amusing: Why Geeks Like The Matrix. however, when i went back a couple of hours later to get the web address for this post it had DISAPPEARED. all the other matrix links were there. just not this one. maybe someone in a Position Of Power disapproved of it. so i searched around on the Slate site for a bit and found it again. ha. read it, tis a good article.
also found this:
"'The Matrix Reloaded' is as messy and flat-footed as its predecessor is nimble and shapely. It's an ugly, bloated, repetitive movie that builds to a punch line that should have come an hour earlier (at least)... Neo the One is a dull, earnest boy, and Carrie-Anne Moss' Trinity has lost that mysterioso S&M vibe and become rather mushy and maternal."
and this:
"It is an immensely skillful sci-fi adventure, combining the usual elements: heroes and villains, special effects and stunts, chases and explosions, romance and oratory."
looks like the reviewers are still arguing THAT one out. both of those reviews were so full of spoilers that i screamed and closed the windows as soon as they mentioned plot.
oh - one thing. kill me if you like. we DO get to see PROPER N/T action. AND... no! i will stop and grit my teeth. i know no-one wants to be spoilered.
but i am convinced it will be wonderful and i don't CARE if it's a bit sci-fi action junky and not nearly as mind-blowing as the first. so we know what the matrix is now. BIG DEAL. it'll still be an awesome movie and will still have neo in the many coats with the many guns.
i laugh in the face of you pessimistic reviewers.
