Hehehehehehehehehe...
Had Eugenie over today, spent enjoyable time watching Fruits Basket. Am now going to rant about it for a while but as the plot hasn't even STARTED yet in the episode I am up to there will be no spoilers, I promise.
Okay... First off. Eugenie and I both agree that the incredible Tasuki Cat Boy with the cool red eyes is very nice indeed. He is so like Tasuiki it is uncanny. Red hair, fangs, very bad tempered, gets into fights with this other guy all the time, doesn't like girls much... it all fits! He is a younger and only slightly less hot version of our beloved Tasuki! *happy sigh* I love finding reincarnations of anime characters in other series...
Tooru makes an acceptable main character apart from her inhumanly wide-eyed cuteness and the fact that she NEVER GETS ANGRY but is always NICE and SWEET. Plus she is incredibly unfeminist and LOVES DOING HOUSEWORK for these three crazy guys in manner of Snow White or similar. However she is a vast improvement upon Miaka and also upon...
EVIL PIG GIRL who is just insanely annoying. No more to be said there, her only redeeming quality is her impeccable taste in men (eg. Kyou, the Tasuki look-alike).
The main love interest, Yuki, is (we have decided) a Tohma clone, complete with female voice and girly waist. However has slightly freakier hair, more masculine face and better taste in clothes than Tohma does, and looks good in a black suit.
And then there is Shigure, whom I suspect has a freaky older-guy crush on Tooru, but is actually quite hot from some angles.
Eugenie and I spent some time thinking of alternate endings/relationships, the best of which would be a cool yaoi thing between Yuki and Kyou, which in our slightly hyperactive watching state we think was implied ANYWAY but may have been dodgy translations. But it would be cool!!!
Okay enough FB ranting, let's move on.
Bought unifrom today. Was forced by cruel sadistic mother to buy blouses OBVIOUSLY far far too big which make me look fat and horrible. Almost makes me want potato sack back. Also had to buy lab coat for chem, managed to get a secondhand one which has unpleasant-looking stains on it...

I have bought Darkfall and borrowed Darksong so soon will be able to squee joyously with the rest of the enlightened ones. Eugenie do you want to borrow Darkfall when I'm done? And when you've read all the other piles of books I heaped on you...
This entry is turning out alarmingly long so will stop now and go write some more of my new fluff/crap/random story, How to be a Hero in Ten Easy Steps. You can tell by the title that it's quality writing, can't you?
Damn all you althetic softballsy types, making me feel pathetically fat and lazy about my own slobbish lack of exercise.

PS got invited to my first 18th party today. proper "BYO grog" one. Guy I know vaguely from Venture stopped me in the middle of Woden and handed me an invite. Mum says I can't go :-( Wonder why???
