*whistles thoughtfully*
29 Jan 2003 03:45 pmWell then. Have watched first two Kenshin DVDs. On the whole it was better than I expected – especially Kenshin and Sano fighting!!!!
*stands in frozen concentration*
*jaw drops*
*starts to drool madly*
DAMN that was good. And does anyone else think that Captain Sagara (is that right?) from all of Sano’s flashbacks was DAMN HOT? Actually, just Sano in general… *winks at Ali* It’s okay. I’m not stealing him. Kenshin is pretty damn cool as well.
Only drawbacks were Yahiko’s voice, which got kind of annoying, and Megumi’s irritating personality. (like Nuriko at very beginning of FY) She improved somewhat when being bossy. (“You with the headband!!”)
My dad and sister came in and watched a bit which might have been a mistake on my part but I wasn’t about to turn it off! My sister liked it but my dad just sort of laughed when I tired to explain the plot and when the translated opening song lyrics came up. They ARE a bit odd.
Also watched animated Hercules with sister (have you noticed that I’ve been sitting in front of the TV all day? And I watched Minority Report last night, too) Disney movies are actually quite entertaining in small doses. Annoyingly ugly and inarticulate Hercules made up for by very cool and smarmy Hades, who went around dropping such gems of lines as “How’s the Underworld? Little dark, little gloomy, and hey! Full of dead people. But what can you do?” and “Memo to me: maim you after my meeting.”
Okay Freya, you’d better stop. They’re looking at you funny. *bops self on head*
Have found the lyrics to the version that I know of “The Cat Came Back” Tegan would like it, especially after a day at work (aka Kitty Hell).
Sample verse and chorus:
So he took him to the hopper where the meat was ground
Tossed him in the hopper when the butcher wasn’t round
The cat disappeared with a blood-curdling shriek
The town’s meat tasted furry for a week
But the cat came back the very next day
They thought he was a goner but the kitty came back
‘cause he wouldn’t stay away
Cheerful, ne??
Well I had a heap of stuff written here, I am typing this for the second time because the BAKA BAKA BAKA INTERNET (does anyone know any good japanese swearwords?) won't connect to half the sites so I have to redo everything. And now I have massive mental blank as to what was written here. Will remember as soon as I update, IF it works. I bet.
Oh I remember something! Teegs I think I left some stuff at your house, my RW CD and my "delicious doodles" friends book. Tell me if you find them, and if you absolutely can't then tell me also and I'll search my room again. It IS looking pretty disgusting at the moment so I could be wrong.
Well going to go now, knowing me will update again later tonight if I am bored and have nothing to do. If stupid computer decides to work properly... *waves samurai sword threateningly under computer’s nose* Hmmm. Kenshin must be getting to me.
