DAMN THIS LACK OF MONEY
21 Jan 2003 06:40 pmI went to Angus and Robertson in Bateman's Bay today, and stood in front of the fantasy section and almost had huge hissy fit right in the middle of the store.
SO MANY BOOKS! SO LITTLE MONEY! I wanted at least half of the fantasy section AND they had all of the Stephanie Plums, which I really want too. They had Darksong but not Darkfall. I really really really really want to read/reread them!! I know they are being referred to as... hold on I'll find it... "the brilliance that no-one else has been bothered to read" but believe me it's not from lack of wanting to!
I actually have $50 worth of Collins book vouchers, but $20 is reserved for Night Watch when it comes out in paperback, $20 is for a book I ordered in from America, and the $10 I am hoping to foist off on my sister when she buys the Legolas doll-thingy. It's so lovely to have a LOTR-obsessed family :-)
So from somewhere I have to scrape the funds up for FY, the 20 CDs to copy FY onto plus probably more for Hellsing if someone has that (how many CDs? Who's got it and it prepared to copy it?)
Oh yeah:
I know that Liz and Eugenie and Teegs have had their hands on them at some stage these hols, but I'm not sure where they are now... Teegs you may have answered this on a comments page so gomen if you have, but are you sure you want me to spoiler the 4th one for you? I'll post it with the take-out text format if you like so it won't be spoiled for others.
Going mad with lack of original anime/manga, am only watching stuff I've seen many times before. Only thing left is Escaflowne movie which I started then gave up in disgust. Dreadful. Want to read Mars, dammit!
Well not that much more to say... glad you're okay Liz, good to hear from you.
Will be in Canberra on Thursday night, free on friday and saturday. Someone wanna do something? *small voice* Maybe?
Can almost sing Super Drive now. Proof of how much Grav I've been watching. Kind of pathetic, really.
