meme!

In between researching the incubation period of the myxomatosis virus and slinging around words like 'immunofluorescence' and 'epizootic' (I am pretending to be Toby Zeigler, in the hopes that adopting a workaholic mindset will partially negate my own workaphobia. also I can pretend that I am writing a vitally important report for the President):

Comment with 3 interests from my list, and/or 3 of my icons, and I will explain them to you.

This extends to explanations of icon keywords/comments, too.

Hoo boy. Long story. Way back when I was still settling into my new friendship group (because I changed friendship groups at the end of Year 10/beginning of Year 11 and apparently it was this BIG SCHOOLWIDE SCANDAL that I was leaving the music nerds for the goth lesbians (kinda) um anyway) and being introduced to anime, [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix got a crush on the character of Kyou from Fruits Basket. So I made her a version of his bracelet for her birthday. And then, due to to popular demand, I made them for everyone else, and we all wore them all the time, so we called it our Kyou bracelet cult.

You are not curious about any of my icons? I will have to actually go and work, in this case.

Oh, man. You would LOVE Gibbs.

Stupid icon keyword limits being ONE LETTER TOO SHORT. As you have probably guessed, that is meant to be 'not the battle but the war'. It arose from a discussion that I think I had with Lizzen, about whether Gibbs or House would win in an argument/dogfight/general test of sarcastic virility. We decided that House would win the argument because he is better at coming up with clever face-to-face insults, but Gibbs would then systematically destroy his life behind his back. Using his own set of minions, who respect and fear him just as much (perhaps more!) than the Ducklings do House, his awesome deadpan determination, and the fact that he has a federal budget and House doesn't.

Gibbs has three ex-wives, builds a boat in his basement with no power tools whatsoever, and used to be a Marine. And now HE SOLVES CRIMES. And drinks lots of coffee.

Does he have a boss? 'cause second-in-commands get me right in the ventricles.

Well, the Director of NCIS. In S1 and S2 we don't see him much, and Gibbs is pretty boss-man-like all on his own, but in S3 and S4 the Director is a woman he used to date. AWKWARD.

Gibbs likes redheads. I think Gibbs/Addison is probably the best thing that could ever happen.
