:(

Fuck, I hate having dreams about having children, because I am always immensely depressed when I wake up from them. Last night's was a particularly vivid one, too, and some kind of crazy wish-fulfilment thing where I had twins, a boy and a girl (which is very unlikely to happen in our family) and they had some of the names that I would like to give children if I had them, and I even thought, WHILE IN THE DREAM, 'it's nice that this isn't a dream for once' and 'isn't it great that I've somehow managed to become a mother while 21, so I won't be old when they're growing up'.

I HATE MY SUBCONSCIOUS. Waking up was a bizarre process in which my ovaries were yelling SOMEONE STOLE YOUR BABIES. QUICK. GET THEM BACK.

Luckily I know that real babies are nowhere NEAR as well-behaved as dream babies, and only people with VERY supportive partners (or, you know, ANY PARTNER AT ALL) have babies while in med school, so I am not about to run out and attempt pregnancy. But it was unpleasant.

More cheerfully: WATCHMEN TRAILER. jksskjfhsh. Initial viewing suggests that Matthew Goode doesn't look all that crash-hot with blond hair, poor dear, but the visuals look STUNNING.

OH, I HAVE THOSE DREAMS! Even down to the names. INCLUDING THE FREAKING MIDDLE ONE.

Except once, the little girl was a toddler. AND SO DAMN ADORABLE.

But. Yes. Those Dreams. -_-

YEP. MINE HAD MIDDLE NAMES TOO.

Be quiet, ovaries, I am way too young for you to be acting up.

I think the middle name/s make it worse. Because then, you know, you have the full name AND the kid/s and you wake up and it's...ow.

Ahaha, and word.

My subconscious even came up with better names! Or at least twiddled the order around a bit.

...what names did YOURS come up with? :D

Elizabeth "Libby" May - Elizabeth is a common family name on my mother's side and one I like, Libby is my favourite nickname of it, and May is from Lillian May, who was my paternal great-grandmother who had the guts to immigrate to Aus from Ireland when she was fourteen with only her best friend.

Well, at the moment I like Sophie Nina and Nicholas William, but my subconscious apparently decided to throw out all reference to my family* and gave me Beth Sophie and Nicholas Paul instead.

I do really like Nicholas Paul, but I think I prefer Sophie Nina.

SO THERE, BRAIN.

Sophie is a gorgeous name. Sadly, Nina, although I like the flow of the name, reminds me of my boss's eldest daughter, with whom I do not particularly get along.

Nina is my mother's name! So :) No bad associations there.
