Soundtrack My Life! (a meme)

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] villainny, made up by [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, hosted here.

If you were soundtracking my life, what kind of musical accompaniment would you suggest?

To request a soundtrack: comment below with your name, under the appropriate heading, and then link to your comment in your LJ so that your friends can come and suggest things. (Please PUT YOUR LJ NAME AS THE SUBJECT OF YOUR COMMENT, for ease of browsing the meme.)

To suggest songs: find people you know and give them your suggestions! Links to uploaded tracks are welcome but not compulsory.

Feel free to be as structured as you please: suggest the credits song, the Epic Love Story song, or the song for that uplifting moment at the film's emotional climax. Or just throw in anything that you think suits that person's life.

PIMP FAR, PIMP WIDE.

I could edit and remake this probably until the end of time, but I've listened to It's Dark Now twice ( ... during and after sunset, actually) and I just. Really want to reciprocate. *saliiiiiiiva*

In Natureland, Through The Catacomb (http://www.sendspace.com/file/qnjduk) [48mb]

Track 01 - Suspenseful sting! Or: See, I have this terrible fear of being dismembered
RJD2 - The Horror

Track 02 - The best wastelands are always behind you
Current 93 - Thunder Perfect Mind II

Track 03 - волчий билет ("The Wolf Ticket" or somesuch)
The Sound of Animals Fighting - Skullflower

Track 04 - All prospective suitors will be carefully screened, and then publically humiliated
April March - Chick Habit

Track 05 - All prospective suitors deemed satisfactory will promptly be devoured
Snake River Conspiracy - Lovesong

Track 06 - But is it dangerous?
Venetian Snares - Szamár Madár

Track 07 - You have everything we don't have
Conjure One - Damascus

Track 08 - Actually, let's not go to the future
Circulatory System - Days To Come

Track 09 - Moreso than usual (A general conclusion!)
This Will Destroy You - There Are Some Remedies Worse Than The Disease

Extra Track - And when we've outgrown our bodies, meet me on the ocean floor
TV On The Radio - Satellite

lol, I was not trying to trick you into reciprocation, but I noticed that you had done for others (which, obv, I downloaded and benefited from) and then 2 songs occurred to me for you and my love overflowed and I sat around digging through my music for the next 3 days until I filled in my other 6 spots.

not that I'm complaining about getting more music.

Then ... you shan't mind getting a little more? 8D Talk of Robert Randolph made me realize that there were a few honourable mentions that I really wanted to send anyway. SO I WILL. homg I cannot contain the urge to give you stuff.

Sort of like the inevitable stray feathers lying around after the wolf has finished feeding. (http://www.sendspace.com/file/nugkmh) [54mb, but I swear there are only six files]

Most notable: Black Moth Super Rainbow and Current 93. Lost, Picking Flowers In The Woods gives me this wonderful sense of freakish, violated childhood nostalgia; so there. And actually, the lyrics of I Have A Special Plan For This World only serve to completely and utterly remind me of you, which should be perfect. But it's so fucking long that it sort of beats its own purpose to death, and spoken-word tracks always walk the line between pretentious artistry and pretentious twatism. Oh la; the second verse, at least, is priceless.

bb, you are too good for me. I'm... I'm tearing up.

it's a very mannish swoon, really.

upon continued/further reflection I believe you may or may not have the best musical collection of the lot of us.

I really should try paying attention enough to type all these things out in one comment. Lol, this happens to me with you a lot I have things to say and then get distracted by something you've said so all my bits come out half-attentive and broken up.

I Have A Special Plan For This World is rather my cup of tea. There are some bits around the middle where my face scrunches up, because... he breaks the rhythm and stops pleasantly droning. Being snapped out of the slack-jawed zombie state of 'floatswaymumble' is unpleasant. But all in all it reminds me of those very entertaining bits of Apocalypse Now only this has nice music in the background and some very entertaining horror movie electrical interference/static/etc.

There... was more, I forgot it. See what I mean?

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, I love seeing several blizzardseason - LJ comment things in my inbox. I find myself tangled in your web of insight/deception/delicious ghey! It is wonderful!

I'm glad to have forked A Special Plan over in the end. I ... recced it at /x/ as a quasi-hypnotic listening experience, though I may possibly have been a tool to do so. Whenever Ilisten to it, I get visions of your writing (particularly in relation to Alba in the Study, huh; and mostly in black-and-white for some reason). So I assumed it would at least stir up a lovely creepshow for others.

Also, the incoherent bits between the actual verses puts me in mind of a terrifying noise I heard while walking in an empty field last summer. I started to envision some corpse built over with rusted, untuned machinery (because I am a genius D:); and while it scared the hell out of me, I didn't really want to leave once I had a clear image of that fixed in mind. So ... thanatophilia? I dunno, but you're just firmly associated with the lure of dreadful and lovely things now.
