Soundtrack My Life! (a meme)

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] villainny, made up by [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, hosted here.

If you were soundtracking my life, what kind of musical accompaniment would you suggest?

To request a soundtrack: comment below with your name, under the appropriate heading, and then link to your comment in your LJ so that your friends can come and suggest things. (Please PUT YOUR LJ NAME AS THE SUBJECT OF YOUR COMMENT, for ease of browsing the meme.)

To suggest songs: find people you know and give them your suggestions! Links to uploaded tracks are welcome but not compulsory.

Feel free to be as structured as you please: suggest the credits song, the Epic Love Story song, or the song for that uplifting moment at the film's emotional climax. Or just throw in anything that you think suits that person's life.

PIMP FAR, PIMP WIDE.

I UTTERLY AND TOTALLY ADORE THAT SONG ♥

Besides, the "you come out at night" part is particularly apt.

I have no idea why, but your posts often make me think of this song:

I don't know either, but I'm loving it. Been awhile since I listened to any Roxette ♥

Yoooooou probably don't know me at all but hey! it's my party meme and I'll ramdomly leave comments if I want to. This is based purely on having spent an afternoon greedily inhaling your fic, but: Nancy Sinatra's 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)'.

I love that song dearly - though as a result of compartmentalization my computer currently houses only the Raconteurs' cover. Thanks for taking a shot.

BATCH ME, YOU FOOL. And I, in return, will proffer you the only song worthy of your many-colored-ness. Girl on TV by LFO.

Of course, in your movie the introduction would probably be something like a piano falling through the roof of the National Congress Hall, with you straddling it in a ball gown and a confused expression.

DON'T YOU KNOW THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN? DO YOU WANT TO JOIN ME? In our movie, you could be the Nikolai to my Kirill, except in our vory v zakone it'd be less with the symbolic body arts and more with the general carryin' on. You know it could be awesome, Ellita.

I fucking love Habanot Nehama, whom I have never heard of before and who gives me an old Carly Simons vibe for some reason. Now go put your name down so I could brainfart my lack of taste in your direction.

Hush. I only up my scumminess out of love, and only when I run out of cats to put in my hair.

DAMN RIGHT I'm diggin' these Nikolai/Kirill parallels. Watch it, baby; any more of that hot stuff and I'll be forced to drag you into the medley of my brain, wherein can be found strange voices, dark shadows, and a half-conceived story consisting of two thieves-in-law and the illicit abuse of a Russian tourniquet. IT AIN'T NICE IN THERE, SUNSHINE.

Also, I would straddle pianos with you all day long, fyi. ♥

This was hard. I ended up going with three songs, because I couldn't pin you down to one in my mind. I'd say these choices are probably influenced by how your writing makes me feel, as well.

The Velvet Underground - I'm Waiting For The Man

The Films - Tabletops

Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)

I have all mp3s of all three if you're interested.

Shame, I would have liked to be pinned down. I would really like the mp3 of Tabletops, if that's alright. I'm really in love with this selection, though somewhere in the back of my mind there's this strange niggling notion that I should find the implications unsettling. Because there's no way you could actually know that I have actually stood on the corner of Lexington with $26 in my pocket, scouting for my man, right?

Tabletops. Same way you knew scarily accurate details from a fanfic I'd never got around to writing completely or posting any part of on the net, I'm sure XD
