Soundtrack My Life! (a meme)

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] villainny, made up by [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, hosted here.

If you were soundtracking my life, what kind of musical accompaniment would you suggest?

To request a soundtrack: comment below with your name, under the appropriate heading, and then link to your comment in your LJ so that your friends can come and suggest things. (Please PUT YOUR LJ NAME AS THE SUBJECT OF YOUR COMMENT, for ease of browsing the meme.)

To suggest songs: find people you know and give them your suggestions! Links to uploaded tracks are welcome but not compulsory.

Feel free to be as structured as you please: suggest the credits song, the Epic Love Story song, or the song for that uplifting moment at the film's emotional climax. Or just throw in anything that you think suits that person's life.

PIMP FAR, PIMP WIDE.

One of my longstanding and somewhat imaginary impressions of you is the one where you stumble back into your flat after a night of revelry, dew-misty and drowsy with the glow of quality Scotch. You toe off your jeweled shoes (the shoes are always jeweled in my mind), and pop onto the net where you casually scoff at the latest butthurt happenings because Scotch logic >>> lamesaucery. Playing in the background is of course: Robbers On High Street - Monkberry Moon Delight (http://www.mediafire.com/?itfygavi0x1) because your banana is older than the rest and you gave your pajamas to Billy Budapest and I'm kind of sorry my music collection is so retarded, but there it be.

Additionally, Cat Power's Lived In Bars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVGgGW1ZalY) adds that soulful touch to cap off the night.

...said shoes don't happen to look anything like this, do they? Because if they do, this is starting to get weird XD

I have had a Robbers on High Street track for ages now but never bothered to chase them up - thank you, I really like that song. You also managed to find a Cat Powers song that I actually like :o

...Ahem.

I sat on this for like two hours. D: You're so all-encompassing in your musical tastes, and half my stuff is seriously from your own folders, I felt stupid even trying. It's done, though, whatever it is. In bocca al lupo (http://www.mediafire.com/?jyd1bxjchxl), and all that jazz! ♥

The Zutons - Why Won't You Give Me Your Love

Ivri Lider - The Blue Glass

Thrash Unreal - Against Me!

Oasis - Supersonic

The Films - Belt Loops

The Doors - Alabama Song

Yehudit Ravitz - The Story's End

Tilly and the Wall - Bad Education ★ ♥

I didn't have the Oasis or the Thrash Unreal track - I still don't have the Thrash Unreal track (it wasn't in the zip :P). I don't actually have much Oasis at all.

I like the sound of the Hebrew ones, although I have no idea what they're saying (which isn't new for me, considering the amount of Japanese/Spanish/French stuff I have), and the tags in iTunes are all squiggly... and I mean, not the way they're meant to be squiggly. I think. Unless they're meant to have copyright symbols and stuff in them XD Maybe you could help me fix that? I'm a bit anal about my tags :/

Uhm, I don't really like The Zutons XD You picked one of their songs I can tolerate, but... I don't like them XD And The Doors track leaves me pretty cold too. But you weren't to know that ♥

Please upload the Thrash Unreal track? They sound interesting ♥

I uploaded Thrash Unreal (which, upon checking, should have been Against Me! - Thrash Unreal, curse these modern names), the two Romanicized Israeli songs, and a Guano Apes track, which I just had to fix on you. ♥ Also, having translated the Yehudit Ravitz song, I can safely say it's The Story Ends and not whatever I wrote earlier; context cleared up the dubious inflection. Enjoy. :D

HM, even as I put this together, I began to suspect that you might hate the tone of it. Which bodes ill, ahaha. BUT WHAT THE HELL, LET'S DOOOOO THIS. My only regret is that it's hosted at Megacrapload, sdfskjf, it's the only fucking site that won't freeze my computer. *sob*

It is also kind of disorganized! (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WVWCPEN4) [37mb]

Track 01: The Opening Sequence
Amon Tobin - Chocolate Lovely

Track 02: Driving/Travel Ambience
Battles - Leyendecker

Track 03: A-Night-On-The-Town Anthem
Adrien Belew - Young Lions

Track 04: The Inevitable Car Chase!
Curve - Hell Above Water

Track 05: Fight Scene
Chingon - Malaguena Salerosa

Track 06: Musical Montage, Covering Your Conquest Of The Blackjack Table
Thom Yorke - Analyse

Track 07: End Credits
The Veils - Vicious Traditions

Haha, at least it's not Rapidshit? As [livejournal.com profile] blizzardseason once said, Megaupload is the big daddy - he may take a minute, but you know he'll get to you eventually (we don't have a whole verse thing with filesharing site avatars wandering around, no way.)

I liked all of these (and tone of it) :D The fight song made me lol though - made me think of a more, uh, cheery version of the Mariachi Trilogy XD

I really like the last song.

Thank you ♥

ooh, it has just occurred to me that I have some iTunes vouchers... I'll check it out :D (are DeVotchka the ones who did the soundtrack for Little Miss Sunshine, or am I completely wrong? Beause I did like that.)

I'm afraid I have no idea. Their music is very pretty, though. Kind of relaxing.

Here goes! (My taste in music is known to be strange, so be warned)

[From Cassiopeia to Cepheus] Zip-y-o (http://www.mediafire.com/?kwhpgwtshvg), If you dare...

Intro Somewhere, in space, the captain of a spaceship and her intrepid crew are looking for one of their long lost members. He was lost some 10 years ago, and the crew has been looking all over for him ever since.
Meguro Masashi - Burn my Dread

Taking a stroll Look at the stars, how they shine for you
Tori Amos - A Sorta Fairytale

Time for the antagonist to show up Ruling over a planet with an iron fist.
Yoav - Adore Adore

Confrontation The intrepid Capitain confronts the antagonist, because that's just what heroes do, right?
Rob Dougan - Furious Angels

The Battle It's fierce, and epic, and of course, the hero wins.
Zoot Woman - Grey Day

But alas! Sacrifices were made for the victory, and the hero is projected into space all alone, drifting in the sea of stars.
Marula - Deep Instruments

But we want a happy end, right? After drifting some time, the hero strands on an unknown planet.
3 Doors Down - When I'm gone

All is good ...where she finds the long lost member of her crew. She is able to contact her spaceship, and it's on its way to pick them up so that they can go look for the next adventure.
Nina Simone - Feeling good

The End Cue the endcredits.
Royksopp - Triumphant
x2 Because there's always too much credit for just one song.
Kajiura Yuki - Ruthless

Yeah, I suck at making stories up at the spot, sorry for that xD

You have to do this meme so I can do one for you :D
