My 21st present from my parents was purchased today: a new iPod. Black & sleek & intimidating. It's like Fabian's younger...sibling. Note that it is currently ungendered, though I kind of want to force it into femininity because currently EVERYTHING of mine is male. Except for Alanna, of Alanna-and-Thom the twin baby speakers.

NAME MY IPOD!

I'm thinking something femme fatale. Or something that will encourage it to live a long, healthy life (I realise now that calling the old one Camille was just asking for trouble).

Holidays are wonderful, but also bad for me. I had a long list of things to do today and so far the only thing I've crossed off is 'clean the bathrooms'. I think I'll go bash away at a fic for a while so this day won't have been a complete waste.

I admit there is a pleasing symmetry in ALWAYS naming my iPods Camille...? And hah, I actually had no idea what Hahn's first name was. I'd be a bit scared of my iPod if I named it after her, although it might do a good job of bullying me into listening to my lectures.

Upon thinking about this (and drawing pictures of Knut) instead of listening to lecture, I have decided that my next iPod will be named Юлія Тимошéнко, and it will be white. However, this cannot help you in your black iPod, femme fatale ways.

Heeey, cool, is the Ukrainian alphabet different to the Russian? I think in Russian her first name would be either Юлия or Юлыя, as they don't have an 'i'.
