Suspension of hiatus v2.0

I am at uni doing the world's most disorganised, complex, annoying prac report on microbiota of the nose and throat, and I am in all seriousness going to put my fist through this lovely white iMacThingWhatever unless I concurrently distract myself on LJ. Hi. SPAM PLZ.

No New Who for me until the end of the week. But I am so excited about Martha! The sheer potential for anatomy and medical references in canon and fic ALONE is throwing me into giddy geeky glee.

Speaking of, I wrote [livejournal.com profile] liminalliz an early birthday fic (it's a House AU) which, well, I am a little alarmed at the soullessness of my own writing lately. My Remix assignment is going to have SOUL and EMOTIONS. It is, dammit. It is.

See, YES. Neurons, man. THEY MAKE MY BRAIN DO STUFF.

Mmm, I'm taking a year off, so I don't apply until September. Then interviews/acceptance would happen roughly this time next year, depending on schools.

I am taking a year off only if I don't get into medicine this year. I'd kind of LIKE the year off either way, but Sydney Uni doesn't let you defer your place, so WHAT IF I FAIL TO GET IN AGAIN NEXT YEAR? *panic, panic, etc.*

Yeah, that's what a lot of the people I'm graduating with are doing right now. I don't know - I kind of like that I'll have the year off. . .although I don't know what I'm going to do with it if the English-teaching falls through, but. I'm young and know stuff about brains. I'm sure something will materialize.

I do know the anxious, though. My MCAT scores are only good for three years, so I'm all, MUST APPLY, BECAUSE WHAT IF THEY EXPIRE AND I SIT AGAIN AND SOMEHOW GOT DUMBER. As you do.
