I am now scrolling through my flist and bookmarking everyone's reactions to the BSG finale by clicking the lj-cuts, covering the screen with my ARM, and squinting over the top of it as I find 'bookmark this page' in the Firefox menu.

This is kind of ridiculous.

AWESOME THINGS ABOUT DUE SOUTH:

1) It is basically a hilarious buddycop show. At the heart of it.
2) It is, however, a hilarious buddycop show featuring a Mountie who owns a deaf wolf that can lipread, and who talks to the ghost of his dead father, and ends up in Chicago. Where he is polite to the natives and has stupid amounts of sexual tension with, uh, pretty much everyone he meets.
3) It is very gay. Very. Gay.
4) PAUL GROSS. Who is Canadian and gorgeous and just a great actor.
5) CKR AS RAYK. RayK only appears in seasons 3&4, but...oh. oh. I love him so much, Lizzen.
6) The fandom is full of immensely talented people and huge amounts of fantastic fic.
7) BRYNN WRITES FOR IT?

In Firefox, just right-click the links, and the pop-up menu should say "Bookmark this link." That'll save you some squinting. (Though, unfortunately, all the bookmarks will say "Post Comment", but hey.)

I shall finish something yet. School keeps interfering with everything, as I am used to writing in six-hour marathons. Just cannot find six hours in a row...

I am glad I spent some early time in anime fandom before moving on. It has certain quirks and cliches that are good to be exposed to, and (for the most part) I found it relatively friendly. With elitist bitchy undercurrents as sharp as knives, of course, but nothing overtly horrible such as would have scared wee!Fahye away for good.

Dude! You were all well-known and talented and I was a NEWBIE and I had very little idea about fandom etiquette so I crept around trying not to be offensive.

My problem is that I allocate myself an hour to write and that turns INTO a six-hour marathon and the work, she does not get done.

So'm I, quite. Teeny little X fandom did not have the rampant insanity of bigger ones, though yes, the bitchiness was all there. *G*

*primps* ...though I think college has killed any BNFdom I may have aspired to. (To which I may have aspired. AUGH. I know that "no ending sentences with prepositions" isn't really a rule, but.)

I cannot sleep due to BSG high, so I am poking at various projects. Also eating chocolate. Will be so dead for Monday activities. Sigh.

I am still plugging along on the pilots!fic that I was a wee bit shaky on until BSG decided to go ahead and confirm my every pilots supposition with canon-y goodness! There will be drinking, hot hot sex, and angst. So much angst I still haven't worked out whether the fic will all end in tears!

oh. that video made me ache. what is it that's so evocative about phrases like "miles away from where you are"? and what is it about them hugging? just. *embarrasses self with otping all over lj*

Heeeee but in my head it is a sort of present for you in return for getting me to watch BSG. So no peeking at the unfinished project! I'm sure I'll have figured it out by the time I get to the end. Plus I'm only 518 words in. Shameful!

I have forgotten the exact line but the shot of them sitting with the fence between them about 2:40ish into the vid is I think my favorite. I NEED TO MAKE AN ICON OF THAT SCENE. I'M QUITTING SCHOOL SO I CAN HAVE A FANDOM LIFE. FRAK MY REAL ONE. ...only a month and a half until my summer break. must. keep. sanity.
