but where is N*SYNC?

As Caleb said: wow, this explains a lot!

(I particularly love how they felt the need to point out that Elton John is really gay. And that Cyndi Lauper is on their 'Safe List', considering that she guest-starred and perfomed live in the final season of Queer as Folk.)

I was going to be a lot more flippant about this until I looked around the website a bit more and found that their program acronym, C.H.O.P.S, stands for Changing Homosexuals into Ordinary People (Sadistically? Stupidly? The S is kind of...unexplained).

Ordinary people.

Not many things can make me near-incoherent with fury, but this is one of them. Fuck.

Generally I have quite a good sense of humour about the whole thing, but occasionally I take enormous offense to their existence. Which is, I suppose, mildly hypocritical.

I'm no longer surprised, but I still get angry.

Oh, I'm offended by them. But if I don't laugh, I cry. At least there's something of a funny side to them, unlike some things I've recently been exposed to (http://www.lovegodsway.org/C.H.O.P.S.). :/

I do wonder what those types of "Christians" would have to say about someone like me, or cisgendered intersex people. I mean, am I gay or not? What's "gay" when you're outside the gender binary? I think it would just explode their heads.

Hmm, head exploding. Maybe I should try that. I don't think anyone would particular miss places and things like CHOPS or Exodus or whatnot.
