Thoughts on Aida:

1) I wonder if I could get Elton John and Tim Rice to compose, say, my life?

(Hey, they did Hamlet with lions. This is not such a big stretch.)

2) Adam Pascal as Radames is intensely distracting. The moment he started singing I got a mental image of Roger in a gold loincloth and now it refuses to leave my head.

3) WHERE HAS THIS MUSICAL BEEN ALL MY LIFE? I love it.

OH CHEESY MUSICALS. I would kill to see this on stage. I have never seen an epic-size musical on stage.

Torchwood! Yes/no? You realise that I am going to bug you and bug you until the end of your days, my Lizzen.

I KNOW but the thing is that a cheesy big budget musical requires not just a lot of money for a ticket, but also money for transport/accommodation in Sydney or Melbourne. And I can't really afford that. If I get into a med school in one of those cities, I will go to musicals ALL THE TIME.

DON'T PRETEND YOU HAVE NO TIME. I SAW ALL THE TV YOU WATCHED TONIGHT.
