dualbunny has made a fanvid so awesome I'm devoting an entire post to it.

God Is A DJ

The pairing is Starbuck/Awesomeness, and my god, does she ever pull it off. If you watch this, you'll never have to ask why I love the character of Kara Thrace so much. It's rough and fast and fun and heartwrenching and flawlessly cut. (I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I adore the direction & cinematography in BSG. And this fanvid does what all the best Firefly/Serenity vids do and takes advantage of the really effective shots already existing in the source material, mixing them up and creating something entirely original and utterly fantastic.)

There are spoilers to the end of the second season, but if you've watched BSG (or if you never plan on watching it and just want to enjoy a really, really good fanvid) then GO. DOWNLOAD. NOW.

I cannot watch that now because I am at work but I appreciate the way that dualbunny's mind works in choosing a PINK song because I am dedicated to the "Cuz I Can" Kara vid that lives in my head and in early stages on my harddrive.

When I saw the title I thought it was the Faithless song of the same name, which...well, it's a good song, but it wouldn't make a very good vid at all. I had never heard this Pink song (I fail at all current music, as I never listen to the radio).

SO GOOD, RAWLES. YOU WILL LOVE THEM BOTH. I PROMISE. 'Proud' especially manages to make me so nostalgic for the days when BSG was all morally ambiguous and full of tension between pseudofamily and jjfddvds,m.
