fanvid rec

[livejournal.com profile] dualbunny has made a fanvid so awesome I'm devoting an entire post to it.

God Is A DJ

The pairing is Starbuck/Awesomeness, and my god, does she ever pull it off. If you watch this, you'll never have to ask why I love the character of Kara Thrace so much. It's rough and fast and fun and heartwrenching and flawlessly cut. (I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I adore the direction & cinematography in BSG. And this fanvid does what all the best Firefly/Serenity vids do and takes advantage of the really effective shots already existing in the source material, mixing them up and creating something entirely original and utterly fantastic.)

There are spoilers to the end of the second season, but if you've watched BSG (or if you never plan on watching it and just want to enjoy a really, really good fanvid) then GO. DOWNLOAD. NOW.

ETA: If and ONLY if you've seen the first season, you should also go to her website and download Proud. Adama, Roslin, Kara and Lee. Family, choices and guilt. Fuck. Fuck. I can't even describe how perfect this one is.
