(no subject)

Q has redeemed herself by telling me not to do the washing up because I still have exams. Aw.

I am ploughing like a mad thing through my six pages of revision questions (and by six pages I mean six pages, with over 50 questions per page) and am ignoring the fact that I forget everything ten minutes after I've written it down. RUBROSPINAL TRACT. DYNAMIC GAMMA NEURONS. THE MONOSYNAPTIC STRETCH REFLEX. ETC.

However, my neck-shoulders-upper back area has turned into one solid knot (where's [livejournal.com profile] _leareth when you need her?) and I am teetering on the brink of academia-induced madness, so I think I'm going to go for a walk and clear the cobwebs out of my head.

(Speaking of: Charlotte's Web trailer, which manages to neatly ignore, you know, the entire plot, in favour of flatulence jokes. Dakota Fanning looks like a tolerable Fern, but I am going to be hearing Charlotte's voice and just thinking 'Julia Roberts! Julia Roberts! Julia Roberts!')

I...I'm not sure. I don't think it'll be too bad, actually, I just think the trailer is amazingly uninformative as to what the movie is ABOUT. Assuming they stuck with the plot of the book.

OOH. That trailer that you posted. Looks so cool! Kinda like Secretary except even more extreme, and still sympathetic. And with government conspiracies and French accents and AWESOME.

Oh yes indeed, I desperately must see that movie, OR I SHALL DIE.

Secretary was good in some respects, but it still reinforced the stereotype that BDSM is something mentally ill people do (even though some do, it's not really the kind of thing we want to be promoting, heh) But the girl in this one seems to be totally sane and stuff, and the guy seems to really be more interested in being a protector than an abuser, and yeah. *babbles*

Plus, as you said, government conspiracies and French accents. It can't go wrong!
