which way is up or which way down

I am in the medical school computer lab, where I expect I will remain for the next five hours or so.

I have to write a four-page summary paper on ADHD and a five-minute oral on lifestyle factors affecting fertility in Western women, research regulation of lactose intake in bacteria and start looking up statistics on schizophrenia in Australia.






Surely someone, somewhere, wants to comment-chat and distract me.

It is a banana cake. The last time I attempted to bake a banana cake it failed dismally, but that was a good two years ago and I am an excellent baker now, so.

My mother is a champion banana cake maker. Her cakes are the only incarnation in which I can stand banana that is not raw and unadulterated.

!! NO. I remember seeing it when it appeared and wishing I'd seen the movie, which I have done so since then. I have only drabbled (http://fahye.livejournal.com/289766.html?thread=1958630#t1958630), but I'd like to fic it more.

Well, this (http://bantha-fodder.livejournal.com/118336.html) is my MirrorMask fic, and I am very, very proud of it. I love it heaps. And now I am writing more MirrorMask fic! But I do not anticipate it will be done anytime soon, as it is a lovely, sprawling MirrorMask/Sandman/Constantine crossover that I work on when I feel like it. And it has plot!

I love MirrorMask. It is an awesome movie.

OMGOMG I was hoping that there would be unValentine/Helena fic in existence somewhere, because I want to write it but I am too lazy. I love it. I have had a thing for circuses from a very young age, and you captured the atmosphere so perfectly.

Crossovers eat your head, trust me, and that one sounds like it will be both brilliant and sprawling indeed :)

I love crossovers! I write them ALL THE TIME. Just. Yes.

Your drabble is lovely! Except. I don't know. The beginning is perfect, but the end feels off. Although of course that does not stop it from being overall quite fabulous.

One of my proudest fannish accomplishments is my Sandman/Good Omens/Firefly/a-couple-of-other-fandoms epic, fondly known as the Big Damn Crossover. It's one of the few lengthy multiparters I've been able to motivate myself to finish, and I love it like a child. More than I love most children, in fact.

And you're right, about the drabble. I think I could feel it turning into a fic and I sort of had to go ABORT ABORT :D

Well, it's loosely based on [livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar RPG canon, inasmuch as it assumes a friendship between Crowley and Aziraphale and the crew of Serenity. And a couple of other things that aren't absolutely necessary to understand the story, really. And it uses my Lucifer character that I play at Milliways :)

Basically...it's about the Serenity gang and Crowley trying to sabotage a corrupt business deal, and the Endless are involved. And I had far, far too much fun with it.
