I think holiday depression is kicking in. Even three hours of Mr Darcy being snooty and a vanilla milkshake did not help much. I can't write anything, I can't motivate myself to do anything. I just sit around the house like an ornament and occasionally go sock shopping ^^

Want DDR and thus negation of current slobbish state; no chance in hell, says mother. Want to socialise and thus negate boredom and isolation; look after sister, says mother. Post fics to boards where no-one replies, spend half an hour searching for non-existant X manga scanlations, drive around and get no closer to obtaining my license. At least at school I feel like I'm good for something.

Tomorrow I expect I shall watch 4.5 hours of Dune, go to work, come home and be utterly unproductive all evening. Joy.

Sorry. I'll stop spamming your friends page with self-pitying whines and go live in my head for a while.

But I must tell you that I saw your YnM fic on Clampesque and I truly think you're a damn good writer. The imagery you evoke is beautiful and so precise, yet you don't allow yourself to get bogged down in extravagant details. You're a very eloquent narrator and I hope to see more work by you.
