Well....
- At animania there were already two alucards
- The costume isn't particularly difficult, challenging or anything like that
- Hellsing is so well known you won't draw much attention
- Its not exactly bringing anything new to australia, nor is it setting any standards
- Even if you make it really, really well you still may not win, despite vast amounts of effort and money
- I'm not particularly fond of crossplay.

But it's up to you, i suppose

it is quite late and i am planning to go to bed, so i might only reply to this one post. maybe it's a good idea ali doesn't crossplay as alucard, seeing as i'd already planned to wear my (obviously unspeakably passe) costume to the dance party. thanks for the enlightenment.

And you were the first Alucard in Australia. What I'm trying to say is that if ali did that costume now, she'd be putting in a whole heap of effort and money - but as far as I knew we were going to try to outdo ourselves, for a challenge.
Wait, is this for the next convention or for the christmas party? I thought we were going to try for a christmas theme for the party? Why did I get left out of all these conversations? Last I talked to ali we were considering doing the Nadesico Christmas...
Ah well, nothing new.
And Eugenie, I've been trying to make you wear that costume again for quite awhile. You probably didn't notice.
Look, I don't care. Apparently people don't particularly want me cosplaying in a group with them, so I'll leave you all to your own devices and keep my opinions to myself.

hey, i'm sorry. i think i misunderstood. it was late at night, and all i saw was a big list of reasons on Why Cross-playing as Alucard Sucks posted where i sould see it, and i acted a little hastily ^^;; and i'm also sorry if i didn't notice you trying to talk to me about getting me to wear my costume. i genuinely don't remember it, and i apologise; if i had, i probably wouldn't have commented.

and nobody said we didn't want you to cosplay as a group with us! at all! ever! we were just talking casually about it this lunchtime, throwing around ideas, and i'm sorry if you felt left out but you were like right there and were welcome to join in the conversation - we'd have loved your input, and i'm sure i speak for everybody when i say that we ACTIVELY WANT you to cosplay with us because you are MEL, our FRIEND.

I also realised I didnt clarify a point - when I said...something like "i'm not fond of crossplaying" I meant for ME. I don't mind it on others, just *I*, personally, would perfer not to. And seeing as I dont particularly like any of the girls in either Hellsing or Trigun, I'll probably do something else.

Urgh, sorry, I didnt hear the conversation - I figured it was done sometime while I wasn't there. It was probably while I was complaining about being hungry. ->.<-

well, i posted that last night, before i had proerply spoken to frar - there is a possibility i may be joining her as Miss Wolfwood. but i'm just worried that what with testing week and all i mightn't have time to make my costume, so if i end up going with my original costume we can be PIMPIN' COLOUR CO-ORDINATEY ALUCARD TWINS and make all the fanboys drool. it's beel great <+|:)

but guns! and I like Alucard .'. I want to crossplay as him. I don't think it will matter that much if I don't win anything, I will get a cool coat and cool guns and and awesome hat! I do want to go as Lettuce in her cafe uniform one time though.
